Kirill Tereshin is a 21 year old from Pyatigorsk Russia who has recently gone viral for his bizarre and disgusting arms. The swelling, which looks nothing like healthy muscle is caused by heavy injections of synthol, an oil that’s injected into muscles to increase the size or change the shape. Also known as Site enhancement oil, bodybuilders inject it into muscle bellies to mimic the appearance of developed muscle where it may otherwise be disproportionate or lagging.
His arms have reached 24″ in size, and he’s quite proud. In a recent interview with Russian publication Ruptly he said, “In order to reach such a size, you need to inject litres into your arms. ‘I was doing it and getting a fever of up to 40 degrees, I was lying in bed, feeling like I was dying, but then it all turned out fine.”
The use of injected oil to enhance muscle appearance is common among bodybuilders,despite the fact that synthol can cause pulmonary embolisms, nerve damage, infections, sclerosing lipogranuloma, stroke, and the formation of oil-filled granulomas, cysts or ulcers in the muscle.
