We’re looking for an experienced fitness enthusiast to help write for and manage Liftn, a humorous new bodybuilding/fitness site with a mostly male audience. We have over 5 million followers on facebook, and your articles will be read by tons of people.
Qualifications:
-Strong understanding of social media for news gathering and distribution.
-Understand how to write social headlines for maximum clickability
-Good at featured image selection. (selecting eye grabbing photos for maximum clickability on facebook)
-Comfortable with creative and humor writing.
-Able to handle breaking news situations
-Can produce quality, well-researched, exciting copy on a short deadline.
-Ability to recognize potent story and get the scoop. (Example: Celebrity tweets photo implying he’s dating another celebrities girlfriend.)
Key Responsibilities:
-Curating content and coming up with ideas for stories
-reaching out to people for comments, interviews, etc.
-Identify and develop the news stories, angles, segments, and formats to drive audience.
-Acting as point person for a number of writers, graphic designers, video editors, and webmasters.
-Writing two original editorial pieces (~300-1000 words) daily
You will be paid competitively and you’ll probably end up with closets full of more supplement samples than you can ever use.
