Gabi Garcia is one of the best women in the world at Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It shouldn’t come as a surprise that she’s a 9x world champion. BJJ prides itself on being a martial art that can overcome a strength or size disadvantage with superior technique. Not only does Gabi have a strength and size advantage over most women, she also has better technique. Rumor has it that she frequently beats up men in the gym.
Here she is next to Wanderlei Silva, a guy who fights at 205lbs and weights a lot more than that in this picture.
Wanderlei is a legendary Brazilian mixed martial artist, who has even fought at heavyweight before. He brought her in to help coach his team on The Ultimate Fighter, and there was a scene where she was sparring with him and basically having her way. He tried to play it off like the only reason she was winning was because he wasn’t really trying, but c’mon Wandy, there’s nothing to be ashamed of.
Here she is next to a former heavyweight champion.
She’s over six feet tall, and has been cultivating some serious mass at different points in her career. We’re not trying to just flippantly point the finger at anyone, and if she wants to get juicy that’s her decision – clearly it’s working for her career.
Joe Rogan said on a recent episode of his podcast that she “is clearly taking male hormones”, but we’ll let you be the judge of that.
She makes large men look small.
BEAST MODE!
This other girl didn’t stand a chance. Bless her heart.
Here’s the slimmer, in-shape version…
And here she is when she’s cultivating mass…
