Who wants to drink Beer Guilt free on a Cheat Day and know that your not skipping, there’s a new beer on the market that is making claims that it has the same amount of Protein as a Sirloin Steak with 33% fewer calories than a Regular lager. But here’s the kicker, the Beer has the same alcohol content as any regular Lager Beer, so if your looking to get a buzz while maintaining your bulking regime, this might be the ultimate choice for those beer lovers around the world.
The Beer, named “Barbell Brew” is said to have 85% fewer carbs and has 3.6% ABV according to the reseller’s website, Musclefood.com
High Protein Beer contains 21.8 Grams of Protein per 11oz Serving (soda can size)
According to MuscleFood.com, which is the exclusive retailer as of this writing, the Beer boasts 21.8g of Protein per 11oz (or 330ml) and will be exclusively sold in the U.K. as of now, which is kind of a bummer for us Americans bodybuilders who enjoy an occasional Cheat-day Beer.
Some ingredients include Water, Barley Malt (gluten), hop, yeast and amino acid. The Protein beer will be sold in a 6-Pack costing £13.00 or $18 USD! I’m not sure how many folks will jump on the band-wagon at that price point, but consider the amount of protein you get out of each bottle, it might be worth the price if your an absolute die-hard beer lover.
According to Musclefood.com, the nutrition facts state that the levels of carbohydrates are very low compared to what other beers may have in them.
