A while ago, Ronnie Coleman, who is unarguably one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time, put a video on his Instagram where he was selling a cream that you rub on your body to help you lose fat.
Everyone’s got to make a living, and when you’ve got a following, these types of things can be lucrative, but it “rubbed” a lot of fans the wrong way. Ronnie was saying that he used to use this stuff back in his Olympia days, yet the product didn’t even exist back then. He was acting like it was his secret weapon, and fans were getting really upset.
First of all, at least part of Ronnie’s pitch was probabally tongue-in-cheek. He probabally got an offer to sell this stuff, said yeah sure why not, then popped up a quick video and made the claims so outrageous that people would know he wasn’t serious. We’re giving him the benefit of the doubt that this was all done in a joking way, because he’s one of the greats.
Important: Bradley didn’t call out Coleman by name, but with the timing we have a pretty good idea who he is talking about. It’s not like RC is the only guy peddling this stuff lately, but his post got about a third of a million views, and he’s definitely the most noteworthy person selling this.
Bradley’s called out other guys by name in the past, but he probabally has a ton of respect for Ronnie and would rather just let the ignorant fans know not to buy this stuff instead of calling out a legend who probabally has an incredible amount of medical bills for his surgeries and injuries throughout the years.
Keep going to see Bradley Martyn’s video, along with the original post by Ronnie that started it all:
Here’s the pitch: “This is one my tricks of the trade that I’ve never shared with anyone until now. I may post some of my tricks I used back in the day to get really lean. This is Shrink Toning Lotion and it can be purchased from Amazon.com and also the website shrinktoning.com and also @shrinktoning. But remember this is a secret so don’t tell nobody, tell everybody. #yeahbuddy#lightweightbaby#itstillaintnothingbutapeanut#timetogetsuperlean”
Maybe when Ronnie said he used to use this stuff, he was talking about a different brand or something, because this brand didn’t exist back then.
