Devin Physique was recently busted for Adobe Gainz and for having his assistant put together workout plans when he was telling his clients that he, himself, was creating these custom programs.
“He doesn’t align with a brand that takes pride, with good people behind it.” – Statement from SHREDZ when they announced that they were dropping Devin Physique.
Shredz has been taking some heat lately, and decided to distance themselves from Devin.
Time to update the bio…
“I just want to say sorry to all of you guys if I let any of you down by touching up my photos.” – Devin Physique
He then went on to say that he thought it was okay to ‘touch-up’ his pictures since everybody else does it. There’s a difference between a magazine cover being edited, or some random kid using filters on Instagram. When you’re completly altering a photo to make yourself look more jacked, and using it as marketing material to sell stuff to people, that’s called FRAUD. Just because other people use Photoshop, doesn’t make this okay. This wasn’t just a simple “touch-up” to fix the lighting or adjust the contract, check out the two pictures to compare:
The changes are most apparent in the legs and waist.
If Devin Physique saw everybody jumping off a bridge, he would probabally send his assistant to jump off a bridge and tell you he did it himself. Devin’s video response to this whole ordeal ends with him saying that if anyone bought one of his plans, and didn’t get the results they wanted, to email him and he’ll send them a 4 week meal plan. That’s right, not a refund or anything – even if you were mislead, just a meal plan.
Here’s the video where his assistant revealed a lot of things…
She talks about how she moved to where he lived in order to better co-ordinate their schedules, and how he is really greedy for only paying her 20%, even thought his business generated a million dollars in just 10 months. She said that she answered every single one his emails for him (Which isn’t incredibly uncommon, that’s kind of why busy people hire assistants in the first place…) And she’s upset that various things, such as PayPal fees, were subtracted from her paycheck because she’s an employee and shouldn’t have to pay things like that, but this could simply be a misunderstanding, since she was a partner and would get paid out of net profits, not gross. Either way, they were selling the service of being able to text Devin, and it was her on the phone instead – stuff like that is completely misleading and indefensible, not just for Devin but for her as well.
She makes a point to mention that she isn’t making this video for sympathy. The video’s basically about how he screwed her over and now she’s getting revenge by exposing how their business worked. Why would anybody be sympathetic to the lady who was repeatedly misleading every single one of their customers?
She was completely complicit in misleading customers, and was happy to take their money just like Devin did. Every time somebody submitted an order to Devin for a custom meal plan, and she would create it but pretend it was created by Devin, they were scamming those customers. And like Devin said in his initial response, if people aren’t happy with the meal plans they got, they can email him and he’ll send them… a meal plan. Great.
