The easiest way to lift huge amounts of weight is with terrible, dangerous form. In a perfect world, the purpose of training isn’t just so that you can say you managed to move bigger numbers, it’s so that you can get stronger. But if you can add an extra 50lbs to your max by lifting it like an absolute maniac, these guys are going to take the opportunity with open arms, even if that means a trip to the hospital.
It’s not just Crossfitters like this guy that are lifting poorly, it’s also huge guys too, sometimes.
We expect it from Crossfit, to a point where it’s not at all surprising anymore, but here are some huge lifts that will make your back ache and your knees buckle.
This goof just wanted to bend the bar.
You know this guy probabally still talks about the time he bent the bar. He probabally had a t-shirt made to commemorate the event, but why? He’ll always have the hospital bill.
Check out this killer on the bench…
Bouncing it off his belly like a champ.
Patiently waiting for that first rep.
And of course, the kipping curl…
We’ll give this guy the benefit of the doubt that he’s just trolling, but we’ve seen some pretty weird things in Crossfit so it’s hard to tell if he’s serious or just doing a parody.
Let’s take a moment of silence for these guys’ joints and overall well-being. If you’re going to lift, take a minute or two and learn proper form. This has been a LIFTN public service announcement. Don’t come to us if you injure yourself by lifting incorrectly… unless you caught it on video.
