Dennis Wolf has to sit out this year’s Olympia after an injury that required neck surgery. Posts made the rounds about how he had lost all of his gains, but he’s working hard on earning them back. It’s got to be heartbreaking for him to have to sit it out, but maybe it can be a good thing. He’ll have over a year to recover and prepare, and a new fire lit to make up for this setback the next time he hits the big stage.
We’re all glad that Dennis is making a good recovery. Even thought he’s not taking the stage at Olympia 2016, you can bet he’ll be looking closely to see how high the bar gets raised this year. Here’s Dennis chilling with his Dr for a check-up post-surgery. Out-angling is a force of habit…
The 37 year old German competitor is a mainstay to the top 5 at the Olympia, so with him out of the running it’ll shift a lot of people up one spot. The darkhorse is still Kevin Levrone, who has a lot of people thinking he’ll make waves this year, but also has a lot of people doubting how much damage he’ll really be able to do. Time will tell. Just making it up there is a accomplishment in and of itself. People talk about whether or not anyone will be able to beat Phil this year, but don’t forget – there are a lot of other strong competitors up on that stage, Phil isn’t the only guy ya gotta beat.
