A Russian strongman named Mikhail Shivlyakov’s nose started pouring blood from the extreme blood pressure as he attempted a 939lb / 426 kg deadlift at 2018 Arnold Sports Festival in Ohio last weekend.
He miraculously ended up completing the lift, and wiped the blood away from his face. A strongman indeed.
In the end he was bested by The Mountain Hafthor Bjornsson, who successfully completed a world-record deadlift of 1,040 pounds.
